ITINERARY​

This trail is a stationary ride, it means that you will return every night to the guest house at the equestrian center. The advantage is that this program is available to all riders, from beginners to advanced riders.

PROGRAM FOR ADVANCED RIDERS- To participate in this trail, you have to dominate all three gaits secure.

​

Day 1

Meeting at the equestrian farm at 9 a.m.

After getting to know others people of the group and your equestrian guide, let's discover the stable to choose your horse. Then we will be riding in the forest nearby to enjoy beautiful gallop tracks. We take a break to appreciate a viewpoint on the Valley of Villé!

After taking the lunch at the equestrian farm, we will ride on the afternoon to the high plateaus of Lachamp. From there we can see a large panorama on mountains nearby. We will be going through small typical villages before arriving at the pass of the Perheux. Then we begin the ascent of Mont St Jean. Once at the top, after a long canter, we enjoy the magnificent 360-degree view on the mountains.

Dinner and overnight at the equestrian farm.

Day 2

After a good breakfast, we will be going to ride all day long. We will head to the beautiful waterfall of Hohwald, one of the finest in Alsace! We stop for a picnic, then we will head back to the equestrian farm through nice undergrowth to enjoy last amazing canters.

End of the trip around 6/6.30 p.m.

 

PROGRAM FOR NOVICE RIDERS - Any required level

Day 1

​

Meeting at the equestrian farm at 9 a.m.
After getting to know others people of the group and your equestrian guide, let's discover the stable to choose your horse. Our sweat and friendly Icelandic and Fjord ponies are specially adapted to beginners.

During this first morning you really will discover horses: how to communicate with it? How do horses communicate with their fellows? You will also learn how to groom and saddle your horse by yourself.

Then we'll get on the horse in the riding arena and when you are ready we head to Haut des Monts through the forest. There, you will appreciate a large viewpoint on the villages and mountains nearby.

On the afternoon we begin the ascent of the mount Saint Jean. From there, we enjoy the magnificent 360-degree view on the mountains.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is in an equipped chalet. Sleeping facilities in rooms with double bed or bunk room (2-8 people).

Having a single room is possible (there is extra-cost). If any people of the group you will take part want to share a room, you will have to pay for a single room.
